Barbati
Barbati is the ideal resort. It is for people who look for a peaceful holiday near the beach which is one of the cleanest and most beautiful ones on the whole of Corfu. There are numerous bars and tavernas, but there is also peace and quiet at night. For those who look for fun and active night life there is a fabulous offer of such amenities at a ten-minute walking distance. Moreover, the town of Kerkira is only 12 km away from Barbati.
The resort of Barbati runs either side of the main coastal road from Corfu town. The shops, tavernas and restaurants are positioned on the road side and smaller roads run steeply off to your right down to the beach.
Just strolling along the Barbati beach you come across the remains of an ancient landmark St. Nicholas. Although it is closed, it is worth a look as it is very pretty and being right on the beach makes it quite unusual. There are also traditional villages in the hills behind the resort which are worth visiting and discovering.
