The bedroom is roomy (roughly 16x16), comfortable, and is wired but has no service - for cable and telephone. It adjoins a storage/possible living space (12x23) and a shared bathroom with the other attic tenant.

The house is in an older, quiet neighborhood, with numerous older houses still standing. Not the typical string of tightly packed row houses in other parts of Queens.

Most suited for easy-going students or easy-going professionals newly arrived in the city, or being priced out of other housing.

On the 2nd floor, the houses common area features fabulously large windows and hardwood floors throughout. Shared spaces include a nice-sized,fully-equipped kitchen and dishwasher. The living room space, a grassy backyard with a couple of grills and a picnic table. A ceiling fan and a room AC for summer. Reliable heat during the winter months. Utilities (wireless internet, gas/electric) are evenly shared and included in the rent. A bed, lamps, dresser, and room AC are provided.

Housemates are three lovely, respectful, and generally busy professionals (2M, 1F, park manager, social worker, and PR/marketing sales). Based on long experience, the collective is looking for drama-free, aspiring professionals with respect for and the desire to maintain a clean, quiet, shared common space.

East River Ferry Astoria stop is 4-5 blocks / 10 min away with access to mid-town 34th Street at NYU Med Ctr., Brooklyn Navy Yard, and Wall Street in about 45-60 minutes.
