5-minute bus ride to Watertown Square for express buses to Downtown Boston via the Mass Pike
less than a mile to the supermarket (also on bus line) and other shops
10-minute bus ride to Harvard Square MBTA Red Line
15 - 20 minute walk to Watertown Square for shops, restaurants, and bars (5 mins or less by car)

Sub-letting rental terms: FLEXIBLE subletting rental term - no long-term lease agreement required!
$900 paid on or before the 1st of each month
first months, last months rent (if staying more than one month) and a security deposit equal to one months rent - total of $2700 - to move in
if renting for one month only, $1800 required; months rent and security deposit
full security deposit ($900) returned to lessee within thirty (30) days from end of rental period provided no damage to room or apartment and all rent is paid
Minimum of 30 DAYS NOTICE REQUIRED to end the agreement
references & proof required for applicants

House Rules
only sapiens (sorry, love dogs, cats, and even other animals but already have some)
no illegal drugs or substance abuse of any kind, including heavy drinking (social drinking is completely okay; 420-friendly)
smoke-free - smoking done outside the home
QUIET environment, especially during the work week - no loud noise after 10 PM on weekdays, or after 11:30 PM on weekends
RESPECT housemates privacy and possessions - no touching of anything that is not yours including food without permission
house kept tidy - no personal items left in common rooms for long periods; daily organizing and weekly cleaning of common rooms shared by all occupants
boy/girlfriend overnight stays limited to three (3) or FEWER per week; we are looking for one occupant per bedroom, not two
communication - if there is a problem, politely inform housemate(s) of issue and try to resolve while treating each other respectfully

Ideal housemates/people for whom we are searching
mature, responsible working professionals or graduate students able to pay the rent every month
respectful of others privacy, time and possessions
have a life outside the apartment; work, school, gym, hobbies, etc. - we are NOT looking for people who work from home and/or will always be around; the dynamic of this house works best when there is a balance
socially competent and able to read verbal and non-verbal cues
friendly and sociable (we are, for the most part)

Current housemates: Me - male teacher; my wife - female self-employed housecleaner; our son, 21 year-old contractor. We all work full-time, and we are quiet, respectful, and friendly.
