The building is in a prime location with easy access to the 134, 5, 405 and 101 freeways as well as Laurel Canyon, and minutes from Hollywood, Burbank, West Hollywood, Silverlake and Beverly Hills with lots of restaurants, boutique shops, grocery stores, and Starbucks within walking distance.

The unfurnished room itself features a walk-in closet and a private bathroom with a view overlooking the buildings landscaping. The apartment comes fully furnished otherwise, with a grand living room with a fireplace, wide screen TV and Blu-Ray Player, Dining room, and kitchen amenities including a Refrigerator, Dishwasher, Oven/Stove and Microwave. The building features a pool out back and gated underground parking. Water is included with rent.

ABOUT ME:
Im a open minded writer who works from home, so I value peace and quiet in the workday. I enjoy all things geeky--movies, comic books, etc.--and Im a very creative person. I love to write (obviously), work on sewing & design projects, prop and costume replicas, whatever.

On a typical weeknight, Im hanging with friends, or home watching a movie, playing a game, or doing something creative. I often go out to movies, dinner or just to hang with my friends for a drink on the weekends. Im fortunate to have lived in this building for about 18 years, and with the rent stabilization, the price is still great. Im single, and I do date and have company on occasion, though seldom overnight.

ABOUT YOU:
Im looking for someone with similar interests and a similar lifestyle who is gainfully employed, open minded-friendly, a US Citizen or legal resident, fluent in English, friendly, CLEAN (sorry, its my one big demand), honest, and sociable. Im also looking for someone already located in the LA area so we can meet face-to-face beforehand. No sight-unseen applicants, please. Also, the space is such that a single person would be best. No couples or responsibles with children.

Above all, Im looking for a friend, rather than just someone who occupies the same space. Im fortunate to have had great experiences in the past where my roommate and I socialize together, hang out, watch a movie, work on projects, grab dinner and just keep each other company. THE BRASS TACKS OF IT ALL:
Rent is $1350 per month plus utilities, which, on average, run about $100 a month. This includes high speed DSL, Gas and Electricity. The new occupant will also have to go through a standard application and background check with the building, and will be added to the lease. Im looking for a 12-Month rooming agreement; after that, month-to-month with 30 days notice required to vacate.

A $1000 deposit is due along with the first months rent at move-in.
