I am currently leasing a large 867sf 1BD/1BA unit on the 42nd floor in River North with West, North, and East views of the city and the lake at the Kingsbury Plaza building. The lease expires on April 30, 2025. Given that I moved in during COVID, I got a great deal, but the landlord has been trying to catch up. Im still about $300 under the current market, which you can take advantage of. The refrigerator, the dishwasher, and the washer and dryer are new because they broke during my tenancy, and the landlord replaced them rather than fixing them, which I appreciate. I have written permission from management to sublease the unit, but you must have decent credit. I also have written confirmation from management that the landlord will offer a renewal (of course, if you are a good tenant). The unit is sublet without furniture. The $2,942 includes rent, cable, internet, trash, water, and maintenance. That is all you need to pay. It does not include electricity or parking. Things good to know are that the lobby was remodeled last year, and the building has underground access to East Bank Club, so if you become a member, you dont have to wear your coat or snow boots to enjoy everything EBC has to offer.
