I am looking for a 5 to 6-month sublease between mid-March and November.

Our one-bedroom apartment, living room, bath, full kitchen and small foyer, is fully furnished and decorated with the art of friends. The hardwood floors have a lovely golden glow, and one deep red wall in the living room creates warmth. The apartment is nicely appointed with midcentury furniture and is at the back of the building eliminating street level noise. Its pretty quiet as far NYC living goes! There is TV and wireless internet access.

The building is known as a walk up meaning there is no elevator. The apartment is on the 3rd floor (two flights up from ground level). Laundry machines are in the basement.

The kitchen is full-sized and fully stocked with pots and pans, utensils, glasses, coffee cups, a coffee maker, a soda stream, a microwave, 1 one-shot mocha pot, spices, etc. The couch in the living room is a pull-out full-size bed in case you have a guest during your stay. Heating is via radiators and risers. The radiators can be turned on and off in the apartment. All utilities are covered by the rent.

Situated in the heart of Chelsea, you will be in close proximity to the Hudson River Conservancy Park, the High Line, the Chelsea Market, the Whitney Museum, the Ruben Museum, thrift and consignment stores, art galleries, the Union Square Farmers market, great shopping, and dining. We are one block from the A, C, E and 1, 2, 3 subway lines and three blocks from the D, F & B lines.

While this is our primary residence, most of our belongings will be in storage during the rental period. You will have empty drawers, ample closet space (walk-in closet in the bedroom), and shelving for your items. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, plates, pots and pans, and glasses for every occasion. There is a Nutribullet, an InstantPot, and food storage containers.

This is a legal sublet in a middle-income co-op with generous income restrictions. As of this posting, 2024 guidelines are in effect. For one occupant, the income must not exceed $179,355.00. For two occupants, the combined income must not exceed $205,095.00. The NYS Co-op Sublease will be the primary contract. The unit is available for in-person showing now through mid-March.

Smoking is not allowed in the apartment or anywhere on the premises. Pets are not allowed. Upon lease signing, a security deposit equal to one months rent and the first months rent are due.
