Description
Trying to be out by mid/late September if possible! I am willing to discuss move in dates if you have another date in mind! If you are interested, it is operating on a first come first serve basis, meaning it will go to whoever fills out the application first, meets all the criteria within the application process, and lets me know they filled out the application directly after applying so I can tell the leasing office their name and that they have completed the application process.
Apartment Details
*apartment comes unfurnished all furniture pictured will not be included as it is my own and will be taken with me upon move out*
- Rent and Utilities: Rent here is $1,250 monthly which included utilities (water, electric, trash, and internet)! If you ever go over on your water or electric they might charge you a little more in your rent payment but its never a significant amount.
- there is one bedroom up the stairs in the lofted area, which has a closet and a full bath.
- downstairs there is the living area, kitchen, half bath, and in unit washer and dryer! There is also a dishwasher in the kitchen!
- Its super close to UNCW and online their website lists it as student housing, but you dont have to be a student to live here (Im not a student)!
- Parking: You get your own designated parking space with a sticker for your vehicle at no cost, and there is plenty of visitor parking.
- Deposits: There is no deposit you have to pay nor is there any down payment when you take over the lease! Youll just be taking over my lease, which ends on July 31, 2026.
- if you need a co-signer (I did) they expect them to make a certain amount times the rent. If you dont have anybody who can sign for you (I didnt) you can use a third party agency called The Guarantors who ask you to pay a fee and they will act as your co-signer! This is what I did and it worked for me!
- Pets: they are a pet friendly apartment complex! I dont have any pets but Im fairly certain you only have to pay a fee and let them know by filling out the pet screening during the application process. This part Im a little unfamiliar with but once the application is filled out Im sure a call to the leasing office could help you have a better understanding!
- Amount of tenants: I currently live here alone, but I know two people lived here before me! The pricing might be different with more than , Im really not sure, but I do know that it is possible to move in if you have a partner or an additional roommate!
- AC: this apartment has in unit AC and heating! I havent had any issues with it but maintenance is always very friendly if there is anything you may need help with!
- Amenities: they have a pool directly across from this apartment unit and there is a little yard area next to the pool too that has hammocks, corn hole, a grill, and is pet friendly! There is also a gym located inside the leasing office building, which is also within walking distance of the apartment!
Cleaning: they wont repaint or clean the unit when I move out because it is under a sublet contract, but I assure you I will clean it before I leave!
Application Process:
- to apply you must go online to their portal (the complex is called Seahawk Retreat and it is located at 420 Racine Dr) and fill out the application as if you were applying for a new apartment. Then, within the application you will list my apartment number (building 418, unit 211). Upon completing the application process, you must call the leasing office and let them know you have applied to sublease (they will expect you to leave my apartment number and my name during this phone call). Once you have completed the application process and called the leasing office, you must message me and let me know! That way I can call them and figure out what will be left to do on my end!
