My roommates and I are looking for someone to join a house group near Downtown Silver Spring since one of us is leaving. We are all male in our early 20s, working in either aerospace or software.

The house is a 3bd/3ba with a large backyard and a driveway that can fit 2 cars. We typically rotate each week, so the third person has to find street parking which is generally pretty easy. We have a washer and dryer in the basement. None of us smoke and, unfortunately, no pets are allowed.

The available bedroom itself is on the first floor with the private bathroom right next to it. The photos show the original listings empty state of the bedroom and bathroom. It will be unfurnished, but common spaces are already furnished. The bedroom is about 9.5ft x 13.5ft with a nice view of the backyard.

Its about a 20 minute walk to Silver Spring Station, or an 8 minute drive to the park-and-ride. Theres a Golds Gym, Whole Foods, and the rest of Downtown Silver Spring within a 15 minute walk. Sligo Creek Trail and Nolte Park are both accessible within a 5 minute walk. Its very nice if you work in Maryland but still like easy access to DC.

The lease is available for October 1, 2026 - July 31, 2027. There is an application fee with the property management company that is $55, and they have to do a final review / background check before sending the lease over. For the security deposit, we originally all split the $3600 (cost of total rent at the time) deposit three ways. To be transparent, the deposit isnt returned during an occupancy change, so the incoming roommate would pay the departing roommate their portion of the deposit ($1200).
